Take a Left Productions was set up in Guernsey by Joshua Black in 2017 to produce and promote a wide variety of events both at home in Guernsey and further afield.
We are busy planning for a range of events in 2019, including Bernstein Revealed: A Cabaret at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester on 28th April and Ruby Wax: How To Be Human at St James in Guernsey on 15th May. Bernstein Revealed is also available for booking – click here for more information.
Our diverse events so far in Guernsey have been Facing the Music: A Life in Musical Theatre, which saw Patricia Routledge in conversation with Edward Seckerson at St James in September 2017, Bernstein Revealed: A Cabaret at St James in September 2018, and the Channel Islands’ first digital interactive murder mystery day, The Latest Krays in collaboration with CluedUpp, which saw 500 people roaming the streets of St Peter Port to solve a virtual reality murder mystery.
Joshua worked as a freelance theatre producer in London, Cambridge and New York prior to moving to Guernsey where he trained as a lawyer. Professional credits include the European premiere of Saturn Returns (Finborough); Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins (Landor); Prophesy (part of the Old Vic’s TS Eliot US/UK Exchange at the Public Theater, New York); Symposium (Old Vic) and Waiting for Godot (Mumford, Cambridge); as well as a Deputy Event Manager on Antony Gormley’s One & Other art installation on Trafalgar Square’s Fourth Plinth.
